 I grew up right here in Ward 2 on Rosedale Avenue. This community has shaped who I am, hard-working, compassionate, and committed to building a better future for everyone who calls Ward 2 home. Over the past months, I’ve been walking through our neighbourhoods, knocking on doors, and listening to residents. I’ve heard your concerns about safety, housing, accountability and I’m ready to take action at City Hall.

My Platform My Priorities

1. Safer Neighbourhoods Everyone deserves to feel safe where they live, work, and raise their families.

•Strengthen partnerships between the City, police, and community organizations to improve neighbourhood safety and reduce crime.

• Increase investment in better street lighting, traffic calming, and safer crosswalks, especially near schools and parks.

• Support and expand community-based initiatives such as Neighbourhood Watch, community patrols, and resident safety networks to help neighbours look out for one another.

• Collaborate with local youth and outreach programs to reduce vandalism, promote inclusion, and build pride in our community.

2. Affordable, Quality Housing is a basic need and everyone should have access to safe, affordable options in Ward 2.

• Push for more affordable and attainable housing developments that fit the needs of local residents.

• Improve property standards and strengthen enforcement so tenants have safe, well-maintained homes.

• Work collaboratively with landlords, tenants, and the City to ensure fair housing policies that support both residents and responsible property owners.

3.Youth Initiatives

Ward 2 is home to a diverse and energetic youth community. Supporting young people means giving them safe spaces, healthy starts, and opportunities to get involved in shaping their neighbourhoods.

Breakfast and Nutrition Programs

• Partner with local schools, community groups, and food banks to expand access to free breakfast and nutrition programs.

• Ensure every child starts the day with a healthy meal and the energy to learn and grow.

Safe and Engaged Youth

• Support more after-school, sports, and arts programs through partnerships with local organizations.

• Work to make our parks and public spaces safer and more welcoming for young people and families.

Youth Leadership and Community Involvement

• Establish a Ward 2 Youth Council to give young residents a voice in city issues and community projects.

• Promote mentorship, volunteerism, and leadership opportunities that help youth take pride in their neighbourhoods.

4. Supporting Students and Seniors Ward 2 is home to a vibrant mix of students and long-time residents. Both groups bring strength and character to our community and both deserve real support.

• For Students:

• Partner with the University of Windsor and St. Clair College to promote civic engagement and safe off-campus housing.

• Improve transit routes and active transportation options for easier, affordable access to campus and work.

• Create more opportunities for students to participate in community volunteer programs, neighbourhood clean-ups, and local decision-making.

• For Seniors:

• Expand access to affordable senior housing and home maintenance programs to help older adults age safely in place.

• Support initiatives that improve accessibility, better sidewalks, benches, lighting, and community spaces.

• Strengthen partnerships with organizations that fight social isolation and ensure seniors have access to essential services and social programs.

5. Building Up Small Business. Our small businesses are the heartbeat of Ward 2 from family-owned shops to new entrepreneurs investing in our community.

• Streamline City processes and cut red tape for small business permits, licenses, and renovations.

• Encourage local business growth through community events, pop-up markets, and buy-local campaigns that keep dollars in our neighbourhood.

• Support revitalization efforts along key corridors like Sandwich Street, University Avenue and Wyandotte Street to attract new investment and bring more life to our community.

• Work with local business associations and BIAs to ensure the City provides the infrastructure, beautification, and support small businesses need to thrive.

6. Accountability and Transparency Residents deserve to know how decisions are made and to have their voices heard at City Hall.

• Hold regular town halls and open office hours so residents can speak directly with their councillor.

• Push for clearer communication and more accessible information about City projects and spending.

• Always put the interests of Ward 2 residents first, not political insiders or special interests.

A Voice for Our Community

Ward 2 deserves strong representation from someone who listens, understands, and acts. I’m running to bring that leadership to City Hall. Grounded in local experience, common sense, and a genuine commitment to the people who make our neighbourhoods great. Together, we can make Ward 2 safer, stronger, and more connected.
